CML's Five Key Questions for Deconstruction and Construction of Media

CML is pleased to announce the publication of the Second Edition of its book, Literacy for the 21st Century:  An Overview and Orientation Guide for Media Literacy Education

This new book, updated and revised by Tessa Jolls, CML’s President and CEO, features an expanded version of CML’s Five Key Questions relating to the Five Core Concepts of media literacy called Questions/TIPS (Q/TIPS).  Q/TIPS not only provides Five Key Questions for deconstruction of media messages, but also Five Key Questions for construction/production of media, building on the idea that critical thinking is important not only for analyzing media but also for producing it.

Please check the CML MediaLit Kit for other resources, as well as the CML Lesson Plan Library in the Reading Room.
